EliteFitnessSingles is an online personals and dating site for the fittest, sports-loving people. Powered by Tango Wire, one of the largest online dating networks and the name behind some of the most successful brands in this market (many of which we have reviewed in other categories on No.1 Reviews!), EliteFitnessSingles is the dating site belonging to Elite Fitness. Elite Fitness describes itself as the “steroids and bodybuilding” megasite and although the focus here is specifically on hardcore bodybuilding, supplements, protein shakes and other similar products, the dating site element of Elite Fitness provides daters with all kinds of sporting interests, and not just bodybuilding.

As you would expect from a network like Tango Wire, EliteFitnessSingles offers users a wide range of great features that helps them to get the most out of the site. Firstly, they can join the site for free and create their own profile without having to settle on a particular subscription plan, adding as many photos and as much detail as they wish in order to sell themselves to the site’s active community. Perhaps one of the best features of being a member of a site such as EliteFitnessSingles is that, as it is powered by Tango Wire, members get access to all profiles hosted on all sites within the network – meaning even if they aren't registered with EliteFitnessSingles, but with another site within the network, they can still contact other members and view their profile. Great stuff!

Getting in touch with other members using EliteFitnessSingles is straightforward too, with members being able to use a number of different communication tools in order to strike up a conversation. Members can send smiles to other members to let them know that they might be interested in talking to them and getting to know them better, or jump straight in and send them a private message using the in-site mail service. Members can also send virtual gifts to other members to celebrate special occasions or receive and send messages using an SMS service linked to the site. Although there is a range of communication options available, we were a little disappointed that the site does not offer an instant messaging function as with many other sites in this category. As this feature has become so ubiquitous within the industry, it is disappointing to see it has not been included here. Finally, EliteFitnessSingles does offer a couple of additional features that deserve a mention – firstly, an automatic matching service called “smart match” which offers users the chance to be matched with others according to their preferences; and a mobile service that allows members to check the site on-the-go!

While there were a great many good elements included on EliteFitnessSingles, we were disappointed by the lack of instant messaging function, as well as by a relatively small active membership. While we would recommend giving this site a try, especially as trial membership is free, it would perhaps be worth checking out other sites in this category before making a final decision as to which site is right for you!
